OUR STORY OF SAVOURY PASTRIES
The story of pastries dates back to the colonial era when European settlers brought the delectable flaky, buttery pastries to the island, a favourite for afternoon tea. Over time, the locals added their unique twist by infusing the pastries with flavourful and spicy fillings, creating a mouthwatering fusion of East and West, to enjoy at any time of the day.
During my frequent visits to quaint bakeries with my father I saw the display cases filled with various pastries, each meticulously crafted into different shapes and sizes. The sight and aroma of the savoury delights left a lasting impression on me. Upon leaving Sri Lanka to seek new opportunities abroad, I carried the taste and essence of these pastries in my heart. Years passed, and I longed to share my experience with fellow Australians. Fuelled by my passion and drawing inspiration from traditional recipes, I opened my own pastry business.
